Around 17,000 people in the UK suffer deafness, ear ringing, or other ear conditions caused by excessive noise at work. However, this damage is preventable if the right steps are taken, but once your hearing has gone, it will not return.
One of the key points this course is intended to teach is why it is so important to undertake action points outlined in a noise risk assessment. This may include using PPE, limiting how long workers are exposed to noise or a number of other control measures that must be understood and followed. Understanding the risks and why controls are in place will mean workers are much more likely to adhere to them consistently.
This course comes with 2.0 hours of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 37 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.
